Easter

Again, we're behind, but we had a fabulous Easter, and we hope you did too. This year we went up to my parents for a great dinner (even though my Grandma asked me if I was pregnant, which I am not for the record :) ), and a fun Easter egg hunt.

Stacie and her family were in England so it was a much smaller group this year.
Hallie wasn't sure about it all and just wanted to run around and play
But she got the hang of it
With some help of course

After all the eggs were collected Hallie dumped hers back out so that she could pick them back up

Jack in the Box

9.18.2009

On the same trip to Oregon for Jer's wedding Hallie was introduced to Jack in the Box, which is Eric's all time favorite fast food restaurant. She obviously thought it was great. Jack in the Box is not in Utah, so anytime we are going to be even remotely near one, that is typically the first stop we make, and often the last place before we leave.

Jer & Rose's Wedding

9.20.2009

Okay, okay, I'm like 7 or 8 months late on this, but I guess better late than never right? So last September we got to go up to Oregon to attend Eric's best friend's wedding. It was a beautiful day for sure, and we were so glad we got to be there. We were asked to take pictures too, so I guess I put myself in charge of taking pictures of the details of the day because we have a ton of those types of pictures. But here are more than a few from the day, in no particular order...

Cutting the cake
Saying the "I dos"
Exchanging Rings
First Kiss as Man & Wife
The Rings
Rose's beautiful dress and hair

Look how short my hair was! It totally caught me off guard

Old Toys, New Treasures

3.23.2010

Just before Christmas I went through all of Hallie's toys, and pulled out all of her "baby toys" she didn't really play with anymore. I just put them in a plastic drawer in her bedroom, thinking that way they'd be easy to get too, and it'd give her a few toys in her bedroom besides the tepee and kitchen. Well, she hadn't even noticed them, and just realized that they were there. She had the time of her life going through them, and finding some of her old favorites. Needless to say, that drawer gets opened a lot more.

The Naked Chef

3.23.2010

Hallie didn't want to get her pajamas on this particular night, so I let her run around in just her diaper for a little bit. She is starting to figure out how to play in her kitchen more, and thinks it is so fun to bring us her latest "creation" and feed it to us, as we tell her how wonderful it is, and slurp it right down.

It's fun to see her little imagination grow each day. She comes up with new things all the time. She drives her broccoli around her highchair tray, and will tell us it's a choo-choo (which means car to her, I'm not sure how we got that mixed up), or she'll want Elmo wrapped up like a baby, or her tower of blocks becomes a mountain for whatever is nearby to climb. It really is so fun to see what she comes up with.

Service with a smile. :)
The puppy has to eat too. She makes him meals at least four times a day.
Does it taste right yet?
I think she's seen this done more than once or twice. :)

Baby Curls

3.23.2010

I am so in love with Hallie's hair! The color especially, and her soft curls, I could play with it all day if she would let me. But I have a feeling that her cute little curl is just going to be a baby curl, because the roots are pretty darn straight. But I just love it, even when it's wild and crazy like this.

A Red Furry Monster

3.8.2010

For the last few months Hallie has been madly in love with a red furry monster named Elmo. She asks to watch Elmo all the time, and can spot him anywhere.

Eric and I had debated getting her a stuffed Elmo, but then we looked at the prices! How can they charge so much for Elmo? Oh right, cause people will pay it. But one day after class I went to go pick Hallie up from my parents house, and my mom and I got talking about her obsession with Elmo. It then occurred to me that I may have an Elmo from when I was younger downstairs. I went down to get it, and found it quite easily. I knew she would be thrilled. I wish we would have had a camera, because her face was priceless when she saw what I was bringing her. She love love loved it! And it was even better because Elmo talks, and somewhat interacts when you throw him around. Hallie giggled, and giggled, and giggled! (And we laughed and laughed with her) She was ecstatic!

She has not stopped carrying him around yet. Elmo still has to go everywhere with us, and must be present at bedtime. Oh such love for a little red monster.

Mwah!
