12 of 12 - March

Yes, yes, I am very slow! But I didn't forget to take pictures, I just forgot to post them. :)

But here is our March 12, 2011

1-Hallie came and climbed in bed with us, with some books, and asked for bread and milk for breakfast. I'm not sure why but that is Hallie's favorite breakfast right now. Really nutritious I know.
---
2-She had that for a pre-breakfast snack, then we all had Life cereal for breakfast. Another favorite around here.
---
3-Since it was a Saturday, Eric was home. So Hallie and Eric watch Hercules on a blanket on the floor, and Hallie was thrilled about it.

---
4-Hallie wore her dress-ups, like every other day. She would live in them if I would let her.

---
5-On Saturday's our Barnes and Noble store does story time with treats, so if we can, we like to go. There is never very many people, I think this day, we were one of two families there. So Hallie helped herself to multiple cookies. :)

---
6- I made some headbands for a friend

---
7-Eric worked on homework, really exciting I know.
---

8-I worked on my etsy site, and got a lot of new stuff up
---

9-These last few pictures were all done while Hallie was supposed to be napping. This is how Hallie takes a nap. She sits up, trying to keep herself awake as long as possible, then she will fall asleep. I'm afraid she is working on giving up her nap. :/
---

10-I forgot to pick up so shaving cream for me at the store. But a friend of mine told me she just uses conditioner, so I gave it a try. I was quite surprised how well it worked.
---

11-While we were being productive in other ways, our clean laundry sat in the laundry basket unfolded...unfortunately this is all too common at our house.
---

12-Then right before bed we changed all the clocks in the house. I hate daylight savings, I never used to mind it before we had Hallie, but now it is just hard for everyone.

Midway Ice Castles

2.12.2011

Back in February we went up to Midway and saw the Ice Castles. They were really cool, and definitely worth the trip! If you are ever in the area when it is going on definitely stop by.

Inside one of the castles

Inside looking up

Hallie loved feeling the icicles drip

It wasn't a very warm experience, it's like walking into a freezer, but it was still really neat to be able to go.

Gymnastics Meet

2.11.2011
One perk of Eric's job is that we can get into most any event at the fieldhouse for free. So we thought we'd take in a gymnastics meet. Again we went really late because of a grounchy Missy Mae, but she had fun once we got there. It was fun to see the gymnastics team compete.
Hallie got pretty silly by the end. :)

Here she is dancing...I'd rotate it but I don't know how to :)

A Night at the Ballet

2.10.2011
One day we were sitting at home and my brother-in-law called me and asked if we had plans that night, and if we wanted some ticket to see Cinderella at BYU. We of course said yes, and they even took Hallie for the night. So it was a great date for us, and something we don't get to do very often.

Hallie had fun too, she got to go see a star show at the planetarium and go play at Stacie and Cole's house, and see the "doggies," aka the hampsters.

So thank you Negus Fam! It was great!

Making Valentine's

2.10.2011

This year I wanted Hallie to make some Valentine's for a few people, but I knew I didn't want to do glue or paint or anything of that sort. So I started searching online for some good ideas, and I found one. You use contact paper and just let them stick stuff to it, and it worked great!

Princess and the Pod

2.9.2011

Hallie started to get creative with her rocker...

Can you see her little fingers sticking out? She was being a turtle in her home

One BIG Mess

1.27.2011
Ever since we have put Hallie in her toddler bed, she has discovered the new freedom of being able to get in and out of bed all by herself. Well, one morning she got up and didn't wake me up like she normally does.

The night before we had gone grocery shopping and had bought some frosted animal cookies, so we had a few when we got home, and I tucked them back into the corner of the countertop, thinking Hallie wouldn't be able to reach them...oh how wrong I was.

When I got up, Hallie was on major sugar high. When I woke up and went into the kitchen it was a disaster. She had pulled a chair over to the counter and taken my flowers out of the vase, pulled the petals off of a couple, mixed a whole bunch of stuff into the water in the vase, and she had eaten almost the whole bag of cookies! I'm not sure how she wasn't sick. The few cookies she hadn't eaten, she had dunked in the vase, then put them in the toaster. Fabulous!

Luckily, I was able to laugh, and not scream. It was one of those surreal moments that you're not sure how you got there. It was really funny, even though we spent close to an hour digging cookies out of the toaster. :)

Grandpa Dennis & Uncle Clayton Came to Visit

Early in February we received a phone call from Eric's brother asking if he could come visit, we of course said yes, and Clayton and Dennis were here by the next night. It was a fun weekend, and we didn't do a whole lot, but it was good to see them.

2.3.2011

Aunt Corrie sent a new book and Elmo pajamas for Hallie. She loves them and asks for her Elmos jammies frequently.

While they were here Hallie got to sleep in our bedroom on her princess couch. She actually did really well and didn't end up in our bed any of the nights.
Here she is "sleeping"
2.4.2011
The day after they got here, we took them to Cafe Rio for lunch and then we took Uncle Clayton with us to feed the ducks, one of Hallie's favorite past times.

Hallie is not at all afraid of them.

Eric taught Hallie how to make the ducks fly

After feeding the ducks we went on a mini tour of BYU athletics.
We went to the indoor practice field
And Eric climbed in a training tire
Then we went to Legacy Hall where we looked at all the sports memorabilia and Hallie wanted to see the cougar

While at Legacy Hall we ran into one of Eric's co-workers who took us into the football office where we met Chad Lewis. It was really neat to run into him, because we literally had been talking about him maybe half an hour earlier. Eric actually rehabbed with him when Eric tore his ACL, so it was fun to talk to him for a few minutes. He is such an energetic guy, and so friendly and welcoming. You feel like you've known him forever.
We also saw Bronco Mendenhall walk into his office, but he was just coming in from working out so we didn't go say hi.
2.4.2011
The next day Grandpa Dennis bought Hallie a new outfit, which she loves! So thank you again!
Hallie thought it was fun to play "up high, down low" with Grandpa Dennis

That night we went to the Men's Volleyball Game, another thing we love to do as a family.
They even won!
(The up-ref is a coach that used to always come run our high school summer camp)
And Hallie got to hang out with Patrick! I told Patrick that we are taking him to church from now on because Hallie literally sat down with him for probably an hour, and was perfectly content. They are good buddies!
Then to end the night we got to see Cosmo!
Even though we didn't do anything to exciting it was really fun to see them, and it was a great visit!
