Six Years

5.19.2012

Since Hallie had gone with Grandma to the Hall's, we got to go out on our own, with Paige, to Tucanos for dinner.  It was delicious of course, even though we had to wait forever to get in at 4:30 on a Saturday evening.  But we were able to wander the Riverwoods, and pick up a treat or two at Blickenstaff's.  It was definitely a nice evening.

BYU Astronomy

 5.19.2012

Eric heard about this big astronomy festival at BYU and wanted to take Hallie.  They both really enjoyed it, and I got to stay home and sleep in on our anniversary.  :)

After this, we ran Hallie up to Riverton to watch Emi & Lizzie's dance recital.  Which Hallie absolutely loved, and was thrilled to go back to their house and play for awhile and come home with Grandma.

Headed to the Park

 5.15.2012

I think like most any kid, Hallie loves going to the park.  When Paige was born the weather was just starting to warm up and be really nice.  So even though it took a couple weeks we made it to the park as a family.
 Hallie was very excited.
Paige fell right asleep in the carrier
We packed our sidewalk chalk and found a spot in the shade to draw.
Hallie thought it was so funny to push Eric on the swing.
Then, just before we left we found a caterpillar.  I was shocked how into it Hallie was.  She is normally terrified of bugs. But she wanted to hold it and she let it crawl all over.
That night after showers, and all that, Hallie and I had a movie night while Eric was at work.  Hallie was slightly distracted.

Paige was there too, she was just sleeping.
It was nice to get out of the house as a family and just enjoy the day.

Mother's Day: Part 2

 5.13.2012

Our Mother's Day celebration continued on into Sunday, and even though it was a pretty relaxed day, it was perfect.  I couldn't have asked for much else.
Angela got me tulips! My favorite!  She is way to good to me. :)
Me and my girls on Mother's Day 2012.  How lucky am I?

Paige and I were still staying home from church at this point, but Hallie gave us a great little fashion show before church.
After church Hallie and Eric came home and planted a flower in the pot that Hallie had painted for Grandma.
Wow, not sure how we caught this amazing face on camera. :)

After dinner Hallie and Eric made molten chocolate cakes.  YUM! (even though Eric said they didn't turn out how he wanted them too, I thought they were delicious)

Then it was time to get ready for bed...

I am so incredibly blessed to have such an amazing family!  It was definitely a nice Mother's Day weekend.

Mother's Day: Part 1

5.10.2012

For Mother's Day this year, Eric decided it would be fun to do a little picnic up the canyon or something.  Which I love to do, and it sounded like a good plan.  Well, when it really came down to getting everything together, feeding the babe, and all that, it got way to late for heading up the canyon.  Plus it was quite cool.  So we just headed up to my parent's house, and picniced in their back yard.
Hallie eating one of her favorite things.  Yogurt!
We just spread out a blanket, and ate some delicious turkey BLT's on bagels.  One of my favorites!
Little Paige

Hallie has decided that making funny faces is far more exciting than normal smiles.

After she finished eating Hallie headed over to play in the sandbox

Then after playing outside until it was almost dark, we headed inside to make a Mother's Day present for Grandma.  (They were in Jackson Hole, and weren't home)

I painted a white base coat, then put dots made out of painter's tape on it, then let Hallie loose.

While we were waiting for it to dry, we headed down and played the Wii, until past bedtime.

And Paige just slept

Playing the Wii got very intese.  Hallie kept trying to make the princess jump, and she found it much more effective if she jumped too.

It ended up being a perfect evening together as a family.  What more could I ask for?
