Hallie's 4th Birthday

8.17.2012

I still have a hard time believing that Hallie is FOUR!  Yet on the same hand, she is four going on twenty-four, so she seems a lot older too.  :)

Of course she was spoiled rotten...
The morning before her birthday she kept telling me that she was SO excited for her birthday balloons to come down from the sky when she woke up.  I had completely forgotten that we had done that the year before, and had no plans to this year.  But that changed quickly, and I went out on a quick search for birthday balloons.
My friend Sarah made these cute finger puppets for her.  Aren't they darling?!
Opening presents from us, and from Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Shawna
This little girl is in LOVE with Doc McStuffins, so when she opened her doctor kit she was very excited.
Yes. We know she is spoiled. :)
Looks serious...

When I asked her what she wanted for breakfast, she said "pink pancakes."  So here they are.
The other comment she made before bed the night before, was that she was SO excited for her "number 4" shirt.  Once again, I hadn't planned on doing one this year, so this was a last minute project, thrown together with stuff I was able to find at home.
Ever since we went to Discovery Gateway with Emi & Lizzie, Hallie had talked and talked about going back.  So when we asked her where she wanted to go for her birthday, it was an easy decision.

We probably sat at this table and played with these magnetic shapes for close to an hour.  They were lots of fun for everyone.
They had added these cool wind tunnels since we had last been as well, and Hallie and Eric had a lot of fun trying to figure out just the right folding and shape to make it fly.
And the house and the flowers were a favorite again.

After Discovery Gateway and some lunch we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a party with the family...It was a big day for everyone.

The 4 year old's birthday cake, with LOTS of princesses.  Hallie also looked at a bunch of different cakes with me and decided on a ruffle cake.  It was so much easier and faster than I anticipated, and I found a fantastic icing recipe.  (And I don't like icing)
Grandma saw this Merida doll at the Disney store, and decided that she reminded her of Hallie, so that is what they got her for her birthday.  Merida has a little smirk, just like our little red head does at times.  (I also love Paige's face, and how into watching the fan she was)
With Whitney & Zack, and her new picnic table too!

All ready for cake and ice cream...
Blowing out the candles.  Notice this year we did remember a headband, and she kept her distance.

Princesses

8.16.2012

This year for Hallie's birthday she wanted "lots of princesses" on her birthday cake.  So the day before her birthday we went on a little date out to the Disney Store, and picked up some princesses.  She of course had to get them out to decide which ones to put on her cake the next day.  So she had a little princess party, and they kept her very entertained for a good hour or two.

London Olympics - Closing Ceremonies

 8.12.2012

During the closing ceremonies of the Olympics in London we had to snap a few pictures of Paige.  Similar to those taken of her sister in 2008

I had to put this picture in, because it's hard to tell but on the TV is Missy Franklin.  During the weeks of the Olympics I got stopped a couple times, and a few people I know told me how much I look like Missy Franklin.  I'll take it as a compliment. :)

Hallie's First Birthday Party

8.4.2012
One of Hallie's friends from her dance class invited her to her birthday party.  Hallie could hardly stand the wait!

Salmon Supper

 8.3.2012

Once again we made our yearly trek to Payson for the Salmon Supper.  It was delicious as always!

Here are the firefighters cooking the salmon.
Headed over to meet up with Grandpa, Ron & Janet, and Jayne & Doc
Believe it or not, this line is actually worth it.
Paige was a little bit fussy, but she also slept some too.
 YUM!
