3 1/2 Weeks left!

Happy day! I think that's all I need to say! :) And I think we're actually getting to the point where we're actually somewhat ready. Any guesses when she'll actually come? Our doctor won't let me go more than a week overdue, so at the most it'll be 4 1/2 weeks-ish. Maybe I'll add a poll to the sidebar. :)

BYU here we come!

After almost two years of Eric wanting to change jobs, we finally found one worth the change. August 7th, bright and early (or not so bright, he starts at 4 am!), Eric starts at BYU as a building supervisor for the Smith Fieldhouse on campus. He'll be over a custodial crew of students for half of the day and help with various events in the building. So we're excited! Especially for not having to pay the outrageous gas prices for Eric to work in Lehi, and for the wonderful benefits! YAY!!!

Ladybug Adventures!

After many weeks of watering, feeding, and taking care of our little garden, we noticed that the leaves on our pepper plants were getting awfully shiny, and our tomato plants were struggling. We first thought that it was just because it was so hot, but we were wrong! We have bugs! Aphids in particular! So like good little gardeners, we got on the internet to figure out what to do, the answer...LADYBUGS! Who knew that ladybugs ate other bugs? Cause I sure wouldn't have come up with that one on my own. The only problem was, we could not find anyone who had ladybugs in stock, everyone was out. When we went to my parents tonight we said something about it, and my mom got on the phone and found us some! Then off we went and bought ourselves a bag of 1750 ladybugs (that was our only option). We also thought that we would be able to put some back in the fridge and let some more go in a week or so, no such luck. Once you open the bag they all come out! We sure hope that this will take care of our bug problem! Isn't it kind of odd that you fix a bug problem with bugs? Anyway, here are some pictures from our adventures:

Timpanogos Pipe Band

Dude, get a load of those pipes! Kylie and I made it over to Colonial Days events for the Timponogos Pipe Band. What would a 4th of July festival be like without some thundering bag pipes? This particular group had their own contemporary touch but it made for an awesome show.

Maintenance

The more I work on cars, the more I realize I'm just like my Dad. I remember watching him get all dirty and thinking, how on earth did he do that? Well it must run in the gene pool. Here’s the proof.

Two Weeks With No School...And What Have I Accomplished?

It has now been two full weeks since I have been free of school work, and without really any major commitments, but why is it that even though I haven't had school to distract me, that I still feel like I haven't accomplished much? There were a few days in there when I didn't feel great, so I know I didn't get much done those days. But the other ten or eleven days, I don't know what I got done. I did get my thank you cards made, the closet in the baby's room sorted through and organized, our finances organized much better, bills paid, laundry done, the floors cleaned, and a talk and a lesson written (both of which went pretty well, in case you were wondering. our ward even came back to church today!) Even though I got those things done, I still have a sink full of dishes and a list a mile long of things to do. Maybe it is that I am just more aware of all the projects I've put off, thinking when I get a break from school I'll do it. Well, I guess now is the time! None of these projects are extremely pressing, and we've survived this long without them being done, but I just feel like I don't have much to show for these past two weeks. I guess the only way to fix that is to buckle down and get it done, cause I have a feeling that it won't get done when our little one arrives!
