Walking Progress
Today, we spent the whole day canning at my parents house. But the most exciting part is Hallie made her first long walk, and we were all thrilled, and she was so proud of herself. She stood up and took probably 20 steps, fell down, and got right back up and carried on. So we though we'd share. :)

I know I'm more than slightly behind, but we wanted to document Eric's birthday.

Come What May and Love it
I've been thinking a lot lately about this phrase, "come what may and love it." Since hearing this talk it has stuck in the back of my mind, but when I saw this video it reminded me again of how much we are truly blessed with, and it truly puts things into proper perspective. No matter our religion, or situation, or trials we can learn from this great message. I know many of you have heard this talk but I hope you will watch it and gain something from it as well.
"The simple secret is this, put your trust in the Lord, do your best, and leave the rest to Him."

It's Fall Finally!
I LOVE Fall! I love the leaves changing, the cool weather, and the food. It is just the best time of year.
So I though we'd go out and take some pictures of Hallie in the leaves. So here is what we got, she wasn't cooperating too well, she would much rather climb the stairs, crawl into the driveway, or watch and wave to the cars going by. But here are my very limited photography skills at work. :)

Hallie vs. the Applesauce Jar
9.7.2009
Awhile ago Eric had left the applesauce jar next to the couch, and Hallie decided that she wanted some. It was very entertaining. Here is how it went:

Out
10.9.2009
Last week we had an extremely busy, and fun day. But on this busy and fun day, our little Missy Mae didn't get a nap at all, other than 10-15 minutes in the car here and there. So after going to the pumpkin patch and dinner with Kelly, Derrick and Bryce, this little girl was out.
Rarely do we ever get her out of the car still asleep, but I don't think she even flinched. She was just flat out exhausted. Considering though, she was an angel all day, which isn't always the case. She even slept through a diaper change, and starting to get her ready for bed. I would've just let her sleep in what she had on, but she was filthy! She woke up for a little bit while we got her in her pajamas and in bed, but I think she was back asleep before we laid her back down.

Wheat Food Challenge
9.29.2009
These pictures pretty much explain how exciting Hallie's food challenge for wheat was. It was a very long, boring appointment. But when Dr. Hendershot was commenting on how boring these appointments can be he said something that, "boring is good, that means she hasn't had a reaction." So we were ecstatic to have a very boring appointment, it was just a lot of waiting for a little girl.

A Balancing Act
Hallie and I on my first day back to BYU (8/31/09).
Being back in school is a lot of work for both Eric and I in different ways. Balance in our crazy lives tends to be the biggest struggle. Lately I've just felt like there just isn't enough time in the day and that I am going non-stop. I know everyone has these times in life, and midterms don't help the situation, but it's times like these that I realize how important balance is. It is so easy to get caught up in going here and there, and studying for this test, and writing that paper, and doing all the other things that have to happen to survive. But lately it has just made me reevaluate my priorities more frequently, and take time, and be grateful for the things that really matter. So my goal for now is to enjoy each moment, and enjoy the stage of life that we are in. Because too often I look ahead and say, "life will be easier/better when...," but I forget the things we have now that we'll likely never have again. I need to be better about focusing on the positive and enjoying what we've been blessed with.
