A Balancing Act

Hallie and I on my first day back to BYU (8/31/09).
Being back in school is a lot of work for both Eric and I in different ways. Balance in our crazy lives tends to be the biggest struggle. Lately I've just felt like there just isn't enough time in the day and that I am going non-stop. I know everyone has these times in life, and midterms don't help the situation, but it's times like these that I realize how important balance is. It is so easy to get caught up in going here and there, and studying for this test, and writing that paper, and doing all the other things that have to happen to survive. But lately it has just made me reevaluate my priorities more frequently, and take time, and be grateful for the things that really matter.
So my goal for now is to enjoy each moment, and enjoy the stage of life that we are in. Because too often I look ahead and say, "life will be easier/better when...," but I forget the things we have now that we'll likely never have again. I need to be better about focusing on the positive and enjoying what we've been blessed with.

Wow--Kylie, I am so impressed that you are going to school and have a little one too. You are so amazing!
