Salt Lake Afternoon
9.9.2010
A few weeks ago Eric had a meeting that the University of Utah to figure out what he needs to do to transfer up there to begin the social work program. Unfortunately the lady he was supposed to meet with was sick that day, so he just asked the receptionist a few questions and scheduled another appointment.
Afterward, we were all starving, and Hallie wanted to go see the temple. This little girl LOVES to see the temple, and I mean LOVES it. She asks at least once everyday, especially when we are in the car, if we can go see the temple. Normally it is just the Provo Temple she sees, so it was very exciting to see a different one. So we decided to eat at the Nauvoo Cafe on Temple Square. It is delicious by the way, I highly recommend it. So we had a nice afternoon in Salt Lake, enjoying Temple Square.

The 2nd Birthday: Part Two
8.17.2010
After we partied in the morning, and tried unsuccessfully to get Hallie to take a nap, we headed to the lake with Grandma, Grandpa, Kelsie, Emi, Lizzie, and Alisa. We had a grand old time. Hallie enjoyed it so much the first time, we thought she would enjoy it again for her birthday, and she did. Even if she was tired from not naping. But it was her birthday right? :)
Eric and Hallie tubing
Then ALL 3 the girls went with Grandpa

Emi and Lizzie thought it was SO fun to jump off the swim deck onto the tube, and it was!

Swimming. Hallie was thrilled just to be in the water.

Then when the girls needed a little break they all just lounged on the tube, giggling away.
Cute girls. Not the best picture in the world, but it's the best I got of all of them.

It was rather bright outside if you can't tell.
Headed back in. Hallie wanted to drive the boat.
After heading in, and towing someone off the lake we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's house for some sandwiches, and cake. Where we met up with Angela and Chad (who escaped pictures somehow), and Kelly and Bryce.

The 2nd Birthday: Part One
8.17.2008
FINALLY! After a month and a half we have birthday pictures. :)
Hallie turned two. I can't believe it. I still ask myself "how on earth is she two?" it boggles my mind. But we had a fun day to celebrate.
Balloons! I think that was the favorite part.
Eric only worked until 8 am, so that we could play all day, so we decided to let Hallie open her presents in the morning.
She got the hang of it pretty quick.
This little girl loves Elmo, and Sesame Street, so we kind of had an Elmo birthday day.
Hallie loves to play with her new basketball hoop!
And Mr. Potato Head became an instant favorite.

Good morning to our two year old!
We looked at cats.
And hamsters, and mice.

Allergist, Round 1
8.13.2010
Every August we go see Dr. Hendershot, Hallie's allergist, at least once, and hopefully twice. This was her first appointment this year. He just does a general check, tests any allergens that need to be done, and runs blood work to see if she is ready for a food challenge. So it is always an anticipated visit for me.
But she was tired when we got there.
Here are her latest scratch tests. No allergy to eggs! Just peanut left!
Hallie playing waiting for results from her scratch test. She did so good.
Until they had to draw blood. Then she was NOT happy! But they had to draw blood to confirm she was ready to do an egg food challenge, which she was.
"Mommy, it hurts," she kept telling me in a voice that would break your heart.

Dr. Hendershot's office is in Salt Lake, but he is in Sandy one morning a week. So we try to make it there instead. but that means an early morning for this little girl. But luckily she was pretty happy.

Doesn't take much of an excuse for me to stop though.
Hallie had pasta with marinara sauce, and it was messy!
