90 Years

Sorry, I'm a little behind...

Last Saturday was my Grandma Peterson's 90th birthday. How would it be to live for 90 years? Imagine the things you would see, and the things you would learn. We are so grateful for her concern and love for us. What a great example she is.

We love you Grandma!

Grandma & her boys

Oh Poop!

Last week we were at my parents, and Hallie started rumbling. Yes, we all know what that means, but we had no clue what it meant this time. We had even commented that if she kept it up her diaper would explode. Little did we know how true that was. When we went to change her diaper it was clear up her back, almost to her shoulder blades. I had to call for reinforcements to help me even get her clothes off, and of course she would be wearing a white shirt. So after stripping all of her clothes off, and not knowing what else to do, Hallie got a bath in Grandma & Grandpa's bathroom sink. She wasn't so sure about that whole production, but we were glad we had her jammies with us, and as soon as we put her in them she fell right asleep.

Curse of the Purple Mouth

After four weeks of Hallie's medicine for thrush, her thrush has still not cleared up. So when we went to the doctor on Friday, Dr. Savage told us to put her on Gentian Violet. Now when a color is in the name you know its trouble, it looks like purple dye. Our doctor told us it would make a mess, but I seriously underestimated what that meant. It turns everything purple, Hallie's mouth, skin, burp rags, EVERYTHING! Which is why we give it to her without any clothes on, the last thing I want to do is try to get that stuff out of clothes. Plus, it doesn't taste good, so Hallie just spits it everywhere too, and does not like to take it. Why would any parent do that to themselves? Granted if it works, it is worth it, but it is just a pain. I thought I had a better picture, but this is after an hour or so of Hallie spiting it back out, me wiping her tongue so she would stop gagging on it, and scrubbing her face so it wouldn't be purple for the next week. YUCK! I just feel bad for her. This picture is actually much better looking than it was by far.
On another note, at Hallie's two month appointment, on Friday, she was 13 lbs 4 oz, and 24 inches long. That puts her in the 95th percentile all the way around. She also had to have her immunizations, so she got three shots. I was actually surprised how well she did. Hallie screamed and screamed when they gave her the shots, to the point that I've never heard her cry like that. But as soon as Eric picked her up, and we gave her her binky she was fine. It probably didn't help that she had fallen asleep waiting for them to come in, what a rude awakening! But she has been fine since, not too grumpy or anything.

Hallloween Decorations

I am never quite sure what to put on top of our entertainment center, so for now it may change with the holiday. The problem with that is still knowing what to put there and then finding it, and I can never find what I want. But after making tutus with the family, I figured making a garland wouldn't be to different or difficult. So here it is, our Halloween garland!

Family Photos (& Hallie of course!)

I thought I had posted these a month ago, but I didn't. We had these done back in September, by our friend Amy, and I LOVE them! I can't believe how much Hallie has changed since then.
Thanks Amy!

The Happy 2 Month Old

Need I say more?.... Don't you feel happier now? Because I can't help but smile! I'm sure I'm more than a little bit biased though. She just makes my day!...every day!

A New View of the World

A couple of weeks ago, sorry I'm a little behind, we took our last trip around the loop this fall. But the road was very busy so we decided to be adventurous and try the Cascade Springs way. It was very beautiful, and we loved it. We even braved the dirt road to drop down into Midway! But it was definitely worth it.

Where has time gone?

I can't believe it has been eight weeks since Hallie joined our family! It is one of those wierd things, where you feel like it was only yesterday, but at the same time it seems like she has always been here. I don't know how else to explain it, but it has been a great eight weeks either way. Here are a few pictures of our baby girl!

Hallie has started to take naps in her crib, which she seems to really like
She keeps us very entertained with all her cute, funny faces, & darling personality.
Hallie is really starting to laugh and smile now
This is how she can be found most of the time, just relaxing! This is Sunday after church in her darling new dress that I love! Thank you Dennis, Shawna & Michelle, she looks so cute in it.
Getting so big, and her eyes are getting more and more blue

Hallie is getting bigger and bigger each day, and is still such a good baby. We sure do love her!

Busy Busy Busy

This last week has been a very busy one so I have got behind on everything, but the stress was very worth it. There is lots that has gone on, so there is lots to update...blessing day, special visitors, fun trips, Eric's birthday, etc.. So there are many new posts. :)

Also, Hallie's thrush has not gone away so we had her at the doctor again on Tuesday. She now weighs 12 lbs 3 oz! But we have two more weeks of medicine...Hallie won't complain though, she really likes it, and smacks her lips after taking it. Do you think it may have anything to do with the fact that the medicine is 50% sugar? :)

Volleyball Buddies

There are a few of us from our ward that have been playing on a BYU intramural volleyball team. We had a game Tuesday night, so Hallie got to go play with her friends, she just slept though...I guess she isn't very sociable. :)

Our team! Thanks for so much fun girls!

Happy Birthday Eric!

Tuesday was Eric's 25th birthday! We had a pretty relaxed day, & Eric went to work and school, but it was a good day nonetheless. We sure do love him!

Eric has said for months that we needed new kitchen knives! Happy Birthday Daddy!

Park City & Salt Lake City

Monday, before Jer & Rose had to leave, we thought we'd show them around a bit. We introduced them to Cafe Rio, and saw the Olympic sites in Park City, then headed to Salt Lake where we saw the Conference Center and Temple Square. It was a fun day, and we are so glad they were able to come!

Hallie's Blessing Day

Hallie Mae Patterson was blessed on Sunday September 28, 2008 by her dad, who gave her such a beautiful blessing. We are so grateful for everyone who was able to share this day with us, and traveled so far. It really was such a wonderful day.

We have so many pictures it was hard to choose a few! :)

We had just taken pictures with her, and then were trying to tell her nicely that it was Adam & Erica's family's turn for pictures. Well she misunderstood, and just sat there for more pictures, and didn't get that we were trying to ask her to move, so she got to stay :). It doesn't sound very funny now, but I guess you just had to be thereHallie with Angela & Chad
