Today was my official due date, but a week ago today Hallie joined us, can you believe it?! Because I sure can't! We have had such a great week with her, and she has been such a joy in our lives. Hallie has continued to be such a relaxed baby, and makes our life easy as parents. We sure do love her.
Since the day she was born Hallie has never been much of a crier, just a squeaker. She doesn't necessarily squeak cause she needs anything either, sometimes she just does because she can. This was the case this morning. So we thought we'd share. Sorry it's a little fuzzy, we don't have a video camera, so this is just off of our normal camera...

We Didn't Think It Was Possible!
So I know we've posted A LOT today! But the funniest thing just happened, and Eric wanted to share. (Sorry, it's kind of gross, but we got a good laugh)
If you would have asked us half an hour ago if a three day old, little girl could shoot a fountain of urine at someone, we would have said "no, that's what little boys do." Let alone a shoot a projectile poop at you, but we just experienced both. Eric was changing Hallie's diaper, trying to wake her up to eat, and got her all cleaned up. He turned to grab a clean diaper and found himself showered in urine and covered in baby poop, as I watched it all happen not knowing what to do. Of course it was all over everything that I had just washed, (we've found out very quickly that our washer is never going to stop running), but we were both laughing so hard we couldn't really do anything. Gross...yes. Funny...yes. Did we ever think it was possible?...absolutely not!

Our First Night and Hallie's First Bath at Home
Sorry for the massive posting today, but we just want to share! :)
Hallie has been so good, we were almost expecting the tables to turn, and for it to be a rough night. But she continued to be amazing. We fed her at about 11 before we went to bed, she woke up around 2, then again at 6:30! Can we say AMAZING! I was worried we wouldn't hear her cause when she did wake up, because she is so quiet, and doesn't really cry. But she woke up, cried just enough to get our attention, then as soon as I picked her up she stopped, ate, and went back to sleep. So I am loving that right now!
This afternoon we decided to give her a bath, which she was not such a fan of. She does not like to be scrubbed or cleaned, but she loves to be rinsed. But now we are all sqeaky clean!

Home!
After waiting for the hearing specialist to come on Tuesday, and Hallie having her ears checked out again (her left ear failed the hearing test both times, so we have to take her back in a week or so), it was time to head home. She has been so mellow and so good, we're almost wondering if it is real.
In their matching BYU outfits.
Still waiting...
Finally time to go, and suprisingly (or not so much) Hallie squeaked for a little bit getting her in the car seat and we didn't hear another peep from her. She just went right back to sleep
First time in the cradle
All ready for our first walk outside!

Daddy's First Diaper Change

This is how you can find Hallie a majority of the time. She is so relaxed and mellow.

Sleeping.
She is our little Buddha baby. She loves to have her feet and legs all scrunched up close to her, and occasionally rests her feet on each other.

Hallie is one happy baby and we couldn't be happier with her here!

Hallie Mae Patterson
So Hallie Mae Patterson was born 8/17/08 at 10:31 am. She weighed in at 8 lbs 10 oz and was 20 in long. I suppose the most suprizing thing was that Kylie only gained about 12 lbs during the pregnancy...Hallie accounted for almost all of the weight! So far she is very quiet and loves to observe her surroundings with her jet blue eyes. Plenty of family have come in to visit and she has been well behaved then too. Kylie is doing just fine and has been recovering quite well. We like to take strolls up and down the halls with Hallie to show her off and get loose. We are so excited about our baby and new life. We really have been blessed.
Well, Hallie found her hands early on and has been sucking on them ever since.
She did not appreciate the spounge bath but she loved the rinse.

After...
Hallie does well on the heating table.
One proud daddy!
Mommy's Girl!

Hallie likes to play peek-a-boo.

The Latest
So I noticed we haven't kept up on what is going on lately so here you go...
-Eric started his new job at BYU, and is LOVING it, but still adjusting to being at work at 4 am. (I am too!) But this normally will mean he will be home by one, which is nice. The last few days he has been working overtime so that he can take a few paid days off once this little girl arrives. But all in all the change has been great!
-My doctor told me last week that he has some crazy disease and won't be delivering babies anymore, so I have a new doctor who I saw on Monday. He seems nice enough, but didn't exactly win my approval when he told me that he thinks I'll go over due. (But oh well, she'll come when she is ready I guess) He was worried because I had lost more weight than normal (if you can call losing weight normal), so I now get to go have non-stress tests every week at the hospital...doesn't that sound like fun?! But at the one I had the other day, the lady doing it, said everything looks really good, and was really surprised that my doctor wanted me back weekly. So who knows, I'm sure he has some reason, and you'd rather be safe I guess.
-We have the baby's room, all but done, we just need to hang up a few more things and it'll be completely finished. I keep telling Eric that she is waiting for her room to be done before she'll come...he doesn't quite believe me. (We'll post pictures when it is done.)
-We are LOVING the Olympics, and probably watch them all to much. But they only come around every so often, and we have to take advantage of it!
-Our garden is doing much better, and we FINALLY have tomatoes growing
-I almost have all of my sewing projects done! Thank goodness!...They would all be done, but I need to learn to say no, but a neighbor needed help with a project and I don't think I realized what I was getting myself into.
-The speedometer on our car broke the other day, so we are working on getting that fixed...oh it never ends with that car! But it is no longer Eric's office, so we actually have a back seat, and can use the trunk for it's purpose, other than hauling tools!
Anywho, that's what is going on in our lives at the moment. :)

These are our ultrasound pictures from almost 19 weeks ago, but we never got them posted, so we thought we'd share now. Sorry they're so little!...and so late!
