Sick

1.10.2010

After more that 3 weeks of being sick on and off, and one very long night, we took Hallie to InstaCare to see if they could figure out what was wrong. There they eliminated strep throat, and an ear infection, but they sent us over the the hospital for more testing. Luckily all the tests came back negative, but they bascially told us to wait it out. In the last week though, she has improved quite a bit. She just has a little cough and a runny nose, so hopefully she'll get completely over it this time.

Did you know?

So I came across this article online today, and thought it was interesting. Eric didn't believe it was true. But I think I've convinced him. Not that it will change if he watches it or not. :)

BUT...did you know during a typical NFL football game there is only 11 minutes of actual playing time?! WOW! I mean I know it takes time to play the game, but still. You would think the action would be at least half of the time.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share. :)

17 months!

1.16.2010

This was just before we all jumped in the shower, but I just love her! She very much makes me laugh everyday. Even among her getting a little attitude, learning the word no, and learning how to throw a tantrum, we sure do love her.

Christmas Day 2009

Yes, I am about a month late, but here is our Christmas day. It was pretty chill, we slept in and even had time to take a shower before Hallie got up.

Good Morning!
This is Hallie's I'm not sure what is going on look. Santa came!
Hallie wasn't sure if she could touch it or not.
There's a happy face! She loves her new push toy.
Santa came to us too, bringing much needed kitchen shears
More of the push toy, oh so fun!
And Santa brought Eric the X-Men Trilogy

She was mostly concerned with the treats
Finding new sippy cups in Hallie's stocking
Future Volleyball player :)
Hallie has quite the arm on her already, so maybe she'll play softball or something
Our cute Christmas Tree, with our Christmas cards on it.
(Our Charlie Brown tree wasn't there when I went to bed, Eric got up in the middle of the night to put it up with my present)
Me opening my present, Eric spent way more than he should have and got me my wedding band. I do love it though, so I guess I shouldn't be too upset.

Opening more presents...Mega Blocks!
Tape is quite fascinating!
Eric is ALWAYS asking if we can go to my parents to grill, so I got him a George Foreman so that we can grill at home. I know it isn't quite the same, but we've loved it so far.
We spent most of the day just hanging out at my parents house with family (where I did not take any more pictures, oops), but we had a good time.
We hope you guys had a great Holiday season! We sure did.

Snow, Snow, Snow

We got a white Christmas! Hallie thought it was pretty fun, but was slipping all over the place.

Such the Daddy's girl
She was excited to be in the snow

Christmas Eve Movie: The Princess & The Frog

I don't ever remember doing this, but I'm told we used to go to a movie on Christmas Eve as a family when I was little, or maybe it was New Years Eve. . . either way we decided to brave the movies on Christmas Eve. We decided The Princess and the Frog looked like a good one. Unfortunately, Hallie thought it was fun until the movie started, then she had a little bit of a meltdown and it took a lot of work to keep her quiet and apeased. This was partly our own fault though, we weren't thinking that nap time would hit right in the middle of the movie. So Eric and I feel like we need to see it again, though I saw a lot more than Eric did. What I did see I loved though, it is a fun story with a good message. Definitely different than any other Disney Princess movie, but very cute.

Hallie was amazed by the screen. . . at least until the movie started

We did have a good time though, and Hallie fell asleep on the way home.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve went as normal. We went to the Christmas program at the church, then dinner at my parents, reading a new Christmas story, and new jammies. Always a good night, and a good time with family.

Playing games after dinner
Ooo! A box!
New PJ's!
Hallie was not going to let go of her new giraffe from Adam, Erica, Whitney, Audrey & Zack. She still loves it, and she definitely was not letting it go. Thank you guys!
