The Owlz

6.28.2011

It wouldn't be summer without hitting a few baseball games, so when a friend of mine had access to a bunch of free tickets we took her up on it. We love to go to the games with my sister and her family, it was a lot of fun.

Lauren loved to have Hallie sit on her lap, it was very cute to watch.

Tickle fight! Hallie loves to be with them, I think it gives her a good taste of having sibilings.
Two darling girls

I feel like we don't have enough pictures of us, so here we are. :)

The two Peterson family red heads. Jake was explaining the game to Hallie, and he had her full attention.

These kids are so good to her...including the two big kids not in the picture.

It was a great time, and a must do during the summer

Swimming

6.17.2011

We finally made it to the swimming pool this summer as a family. It's quite pitiful how few times we've gone this year. We normally go a lot, but we have been so crazy busy this summer we haven't made it too often. We didn't even stay that long this time, but it was nice to go.

Swimming Lessons Photo Shoot

6.26.2011

While waiting for Eric to bring the car home so that we could go to swimming lessons we took a few pictures of Hallie's first day of swimming lessons.

It turned into going outside and being pretty silly. :)

This is her, are we done yet? smile

The Hogle Zoo

6.25.2011

We decided to brave the heat and visit the zoo after some of Eric's meetings at the University of Utah. We got there a little bit later than we had planned, but we still had a great time.

Don't you just love this cute little hat on her? We had to find her a hat the night before so she wouldn't fry.

The Negus's came with us, even though Jake had cracked his head open the night before. Megan and Taylor were gone at camps, so Jake and Lauren wanted something to do.
Waiting for the bird show

In the Asian Highlands part of the zoo.

Kung Fu Master

The carousel was probably Hallie's favorite part. She picked out the polar bear long before we even got in line.

After lunch, Hallie was a little bit squished in the wagon.

The gorillas were hanging out in the shade, but we had a good view of them.

The elephants are what Hallie had talked and talked about before we ever got there. A few months ago, we were given a handout to go see the new baby elephant. Hallie has since hauled it around everywhere, and has talked about baby Zuri the elephant. So she was thrilled to actually see her.

They have a big Zoo-rassic park thing going on right now too. So they have all of these cool animatronic dinosaurs throughout the zoo. They were fun to see, even if the T-Rex made Hallie nervous.

It was a long, hot day, and this little girl was worn out completely. She was asleep before we even made it out of the zoo.

I guess that means she had a good time though right?

Trouble, trouble, trouble

6.27.2011

It seems like this little monkey is constantly into things lately. This day it was the permanent marker...
At least she was honest though, and came and showed me and said "uh, oh! I'm trouble." How can you be mad with that response? So she got an early bath. While I was scrubbing her arm, she kept saying "why did I do that?" over and over again. It was a very valid question, but it made me smile. I love how she has started really understanding consequences, and realizing that it may not have been such a great idea. It's great to see her little mind at work.
