It wasn't worth it...

4.22.2012

So, we regularly go to church like many people.  But when you have a three year old who hasn't slept, and wouldn't (and I mean wouldn't) wake up to go to church, sometimes you just have to let them sleep.

A Shared Room

Because we decided to have the girls share a room, we had to rearrange Hallie's room.  So we decided to redecorate while we were at it.  Paige isn't sleeping in here yet, but Hallie can hardly wait.  The first week we had Paige home, Hallie's consistent meltdown was over Paige not sleeping in their room with her.  One day it'll happen though.  And I'm sure one day she won't be quite so happy about it.  But for now it's great. :)
Both of our girls' middle names are after their great grandma's.  The doll on top of the bookcase was Eric's grandma's, Shirley Mae, who Hallie's middle name is after.  Then the butterfly embroidery my grandma, Ila (which is where Paige's middle name came from), made, and hung in my bedroom growing up. So it's neat to have both of them close in their room.

We thought it would be a lot tighter with space, but it has ended up working out really well.

"Shoe-wood" Forest

4.17.2012

As I said before, Hallie is in love with Robin Hood recently.  So when her stuffed animal Robin Hood went missing overnight, it was cause for major concern!  But we found him...he was in "Shoe-wood Forest."  Ha ha ha!  We're so funny. :)
When we asked Hallie what Robin Hood was doing in the shoe basket, she said he was taking a nap.  Of course.  Isn't that where everyone takes their naps?  :)

Hospital Photos

5.4.2012

At our hospital they give you the opportunity to have pictures taken of your baby before you leave. I'm so glad we decided to! They turned out great, and are wonderful memories of those first few days with our little Paige.

Every one's first comment was (and still is) always about her hair! It is super long, and in the hospital it looked dark with blond tips.  Like we had sent her out to the hair salon.  It has lovingly since been dubbed her "Muppet hair."

Paige sat like this for probably the first two weeks of her life.  She still does from time to time.  It was enough that our pediatrician asked if we were sure that she wasn't breech. Which she wasn't.  She just liked her feet tucked up.
I just love little baby feet!

 With Daddy.

Of course the photographer came right after I got out of the shower, but I'm glad I have a few pictures with her nonetheless.

I know...

I am incredibly behind again.  But hopefully I'll be able to get back to it here shortly. :)
