Mornings.

5.1.2012

Many mornings I wake up to Hallie heading outside through our bedroom onto our deck.  She loves to get up, and go outside.  This day it was raining, so she got dressed accordingly.  (She is very into the weather right now) I couldn't help but smile, and take a picture of our Little Miss on her last morning of being an only child.

Our Last Weekend

4.28.2012

Since I knew I was being induced on May 2nd, we decided to do something fun that weekend, knowing it would be our last as a family of three.

Hallie even got away with climbing in bed in the middle of the night.

We had just gotten our Pass of All Passes, so we decided to try them out at Trafalga and go mini golfing.

Hallie LOVED it!  I was actually quite surprised at how well it held her attention, and how into it she was.  We definitely will go again.

Hallie calls this "her castle." She knows just where to spot it everytime we pass on the freeway, so it was very exciting to be up close!
I love these two!  We had such a great time!

Getting Ready for Baby Sister

4.24.2012

About a week before Paige's arrival, we started getting things ready. Laundry done, the house clean, bills paid, all that fun stuff.

Hallie helped me get Daisy (Hallie named her), the elephant, and a new book all ready for her to bring to the hospital when her sister came.  She was thrilled!  It also ended up being a very good thing for her when she came to the hospital, and helped break the ice.

Just Being Silly

It wasn't worth it...

4.22.2012

So, we regularly go to church like many people.  But when you have a three year old who hasn't slept, and wouldn't (and I mean wouldn't) wake up to go to church, sometimes you just have to let them sleep.

A Shared Room

Because we decided to have the girls share a room, we had to rearrange Hallie's room.  So we decided to redecorate while we were at it.  Paige isn't sleeping in here yet, but Hallie can hardly wait.  The first week we had Paige home, Hallie's consistent meltdown was over Paige not sleeping in their room with her.  One day it'll happen though.  And I'm sure one day she won't be quite so happy about it.  But for now it's great. :)
Both of our girls' middle names are after their great grandma's.  The doll on top of the bookcase was Eric's grandma's, Shirley Mae, who Hallie's middle name is after.  Then the butterfly embroidery my grandma, Ila (which is where Paige's middle name came from), made, and hung in my bedroom growing up. So it's neat to have both of them close in their room.

We thought it would be a lot tighter with space, but it has ended up working out really well.
