Niagara of the West

On the way home from Robin's wedding we stopped in Twin Falls (to see the new temple) and at Shoshone Falls. We didn't know that it is known as the Niagara of the West until we got home, and we had never really heard of it before, but we thought it would be a nice stopping point. When we were there I never would've guessed why it was compared to Niagara Falls until I found pictures online of what it normally looks like. The river must have been really low or something, cause it didn't look at all like that. Beautiful nonetheless, but nothing like the pictures. See for yourself.

We didn't though, so we thought it was neat anyway!

The Twin Falls Idaho Temple

Funny story (or maybe not, depending who is telling it)...as we headed back out of Twin Falls toward home, we debated a little bit where to get on the freeway, but we got on where we thought we got off and didn't think twice about it. Well, come to find out about and hour or so later, when we hit Pocatello, we both looked at each other and went "this isn't the way we drove up." We called my dad and laughed a little bit about it, realizing we got on I-15 instead of I-84. This took us in a round about way to Logan, but we found our way home eventually. It just took us an hour longer than planned, which for four tired bums is a lot. Oops!

3 Months!

Robin's Wedding

Last weekend we drove to Idaho/Oregon (we stayed in Nyssa, Oregon) to attend Robin Abbott's wedding. Eric taught Robin on his mission, in Florida, and Robin really wanted Eric to be there. So we packed up and went. We were able to attend their sealing in the beautiful Boise temple, and spend some time with them. Eric got to be the witness at the temple and a groomsman at the ring ceremony later that night. It was a beautiful day, for a beautiful wedding. We are so glad we were able to be there.

I'm not sure what to think about this...

Here I am playing on the computer, not really accomplishing much, but not wanting to go to bed, in my own room either. Here is why...
Tonight Hallie fell asleep while I was working on a few things and I was holding her, so I just put her in her crib right here by me. Partly because it was convenient and partly because she was closer if she woke up and she wouldn't wake Eric up if she did wake up. Now, this may sound very normal to most everyone, but Hallie has been sleeping in our room ever since she has come home from the hospital, and now she is so asleep that I don't want to move her. I haven't wanted to move her into her own room but have known we need to, even though she has been sleeping through the night since she was 5 or 6 weeks old, because that means she is growing up, and it has just come too fast for my liking. I've come up with every excuse to keep her in her cradle sleeping next to me, and I know we're going to have to do it sometime, I just don't want to. So now I have this inner debate of what to do, and I know that this is all just silly, and me being overprotective, but I still just don't know what to think. I'm sure I'll just let her sleep where she is, but I may end up right here on the floor next to her. :) Okay, maybe not, but I may seriously consider it, or maybe I will, I don't know. I don't like this at all! Wish me luck!

The Drive to Idaho

On the way to Idaho, for Robin's wedding, we decided to take a detour out to Promontory, Utah to see where the railroads joined and see the golden spike. Well little did we know the golden spike isn't even there, let alone how far out there it really is. We were all a little disappointed. All that is there is the laurel wood railroad tie, that was the last tie laid, and the holes where the spikes should've been. It was cool and everything, just not what we were all hoping for. But the trains on the other hand were well worth the drive out to the middle of nowhere. They were amazing!

We also stopped at a missle display that was on the way to see the golden spike, it was rather impressive!

It really only should've taken 7ish hours, but we took a couple detours,

and Hallie needed to eat. Put it this way, we took our time!

Twilight

Okay, so I have gotten into the Twilight series. I actually like them much better than the Harry Potter series...which is saying something. So I am about half way through Eclipse, which is my favorite one so far. The only problem with that is that I don't accomplish anything else! This is how me reading a book goes, I casually read it for a few days or weeks, or however long it takes me to get into the meat of the story, then I finish the rest of the book in a day, staying up all night just to finish it. Ya, that is about the point I'm at with Eclipse. But I have so much to do before we leave for Idaho, so the book is just sitting on my nightstand, and I'm dying to know what's going to happen! I'm just past the point where someone has come into Bella's house and taken some of her things from her room. I just have to keep telling myself I have other things to get done, but I just can't help but wonder!

The other problem with these books is that once you finish one, you immediately want to start the next. Which means we may be findng the fourth book in Idaho, because we do not have it. We may be in trouble! :)

You will also notice the Twilight movie quizes I took on the sidebar. Here are the results: One quiz said I'm Esme, and another said I'm Jasper (that one kind of surprised me). I'm a vampire, not a werewolf. And I'd drive Edward's silver Volvo, which in all actuality I wouldn't mind. :)

Anyway, Eric is making fun of me, he thinks it's all kind of funny. But whatever. He hasn't read it so he doesn't get an opinion in the matter. :)
