Our Playground

11.15.2011
Another perk that we have enjoyed about moving is that the condos have a shared playground, which is rarely in use. So we like to go over there to play on the tree house, slides, and swings.

Halloween 2011

10.31.2011

Hallie tried all night to keep up with the big kids.
They were all really good to slow down and help though, and they took turns holding hands.
Trick-or-treating wore our Little Miss right out.

Discovery Gateway

10.25.2011
Emi & Lizzie invited Hallie to go with them on their preschool fieldtrip to Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake. So we went up and met them there one morning.
Hallie was slightly grouchy to begin the day, and wasn't too cooperative, but luckily that changed once we got there.
We started off playing with this fun ball shoot thing. It would suck the balls up then shoot them out somewhere else. Once Hallie got over the sound, and being afraid it was going to suck her up too, she liked it.Next was the water table, where Hallie could have played all day!
And the grocery store! They could have doubled the size of the grocery store part and I'm sure it still would've been packed.
Picking out some vegetables, and loading up her basket.
Cashier Lizzie was ready to help!
They also had a little farm area where you could gather eggs and climb on a horse.
Their playhouse was very realistic, and anytime we went by it was full of kids too.
Hallie was trying to see if a mouse lived in the mouse hole.
Emi & Hallie reading stories on a couch just their size.
The flowers in the boxes in front of the house were also a big hit.
In the bird house.
Hallie the squirrel
Out on their patio area they have a full size life-flight helicopter. Hallie got pretty nervous about the loud sounds it played, but it was pretty interesting to be able to climb in it and see how little room they have to work with.
Emi & Hallie also loved the news area! They could see themselves up on the screens, and thought that was pretty great.
Lizzie liked being the camera girl.
Weather girls.
This is a big magnetic wall where you can make a marble roller coaster.
Hallie did a scratch art leaf.
More dress ups on the stage.
They all hid behind the curtain making a plan for their big performance.
And last, on our way out we played on this xylophone thing.
We had a really fun time there, and we definitely need to go back! We were so glad we were invited to go.

Ward Halloween Party

10.25.2011
The day finally came when Hallie could take her Ariel dress out of the closet to wear it! She was one excited little girl!
Our ward did a costume parade across the stage, and Hallie was SO excited. I was actually quite suprised that she wanted to do it, and then that she was such a ham walking across the stage. :)Headed out for the trunk-or-treat. Hallie wasn't sure what this all entailed, but she caught on very quickly.

Yes, please. :)
She had a lot of fun, and it was great practice for the BIG night.

Peterson Family Weekend

10.21 & 10.22.2011
This year for our Peterson Family Weekend, we had a fun Halloween-y time! First we started off at a fun pumpkin patch with all sorts of activities to do. We did a corn maze, played on these great wood toys, jumped on huge air bubbles, watched pig races, and enjoyed being together.
Heading over to the corn maze with Grandpa Bob
After having fun there, we all went swimming at Lehi Legacy Pool. Where, for some reason, I don't have any pictures. But it was a fun time for sure.
The next morning we picked pumpkins out of Grandma & Grandpa's garden to decorate. Zack was such a big helper.
Hallie decorating away.
Grandma had got all sorts of fun things to decorate with. Ribbons, tacks, brads, vinyl, yarn, jewels, etc. It was fun to see what everyone came up with.
Hallie's creation. She did it all by herself.
After decorating the girls needed to watch Tangled on Grandma & Grandpa's bed.
Which Hallie fell asleep watching.
Everyone's final creations! Megan let the littler girls do her hair. :)
