I Can Choose the Right...

10.29.2012

I am still incredibly behind, so I figured I'd pick up where we are, and slowly fill in the missing 6 months. :)

Yesterday Hallie had her very first Primary Program at church.  She was so darling the whole time.  While they were singing she waving her arm, pretending to lead the music as they sang.  When it was her turn to say her part, she jumped right up and said it loud and clear. "I can choose the right by following the Prophet President Monson."  Oh what proud parents we were.  We couldn't help be smiling and laughing at other times.

What a great little girl we have.  When they started the program, one of the counselors in the Primary Presidency talked about the scripture where it says to "behold your little ones."  As I watched and listened to these sweet children I couldn't help but "behold" them.  What blessings they are, and we have so much to learn from them.  It reminded me how lucky I am to get to have two of these little ones in my home to remind me of this each day.

Hallie had a great experience with her first program, and was so incredibly excited.  We were so proud of her, and I hope that she remembers the little lessons she learns from these events.  Because I know if she remembers to choose the right by following the prophet, that she will be okay.  She will be happy.  She will make good decisions. She will know of our Heavenly Father's love for her.  What more could a parent want for their child?

Paige with her cousin Sara who is only about 9 weeks older.

Rolling...

10.3.2012

Just for records sake, (and that we just realized we don't have a baby book for Paige. The poor second child :) ), Paige just rolled over for the first time from back to front! She has gotten close a few times, but this morning she did it! I don't know if it will be a regular thing now or not. But we were pretty excited for her.

Cat in the Hat Story Time

5.30.2012

A long time ago we took Hallie to Barnes and Noble for their weekly story time, and it happen to be a day where the Cat in the Hat came.  It was ever so exciting.  So every time we go now, it is lovingly called "Cat in the Hat Storytime," even if the Cat in the Hat is not there.

This was one of my first outings with two little girls on my own, and of course it had to be the day that they had a million class field trips coming in.  But they were so sweet and did a special little story time just for Hallie, and because it was just her on her own, they picked out an extra special craft.  She got to color her own fairy wings and crown!  It was the highlight of her week I think.

After the story we played at the lego table for a bit, before the little sister got hungry and it was time to go.  Overall a successful outing.

Do you think our red head likes being a big sister?
We do too. :)
