Yes, we did celebrate National Pie Day, and it was fabulous! We actually celebrated for two days, with two different pies, just cause we couldn't decide.

Sunday, I made Buttermilk Pie that my sister made about a year ago. It was AMAZING! We highly recommend it. Find the recipe here. But leave the nutmeg out, and up the flour to just over one cup. Also use a deep pie pan. Serve warm with hot raspberry sauce, and whipped cream. It's super easy, and oh so delicious!

How fun! I didn't know about pie day - sounds super yummy!
When I was teaching, my principal celebrated "pi day" every March 14th (you know, 3.14.) So you can have another pie day then if you want. :) Glad you liked the buttermilk pie! Just a week or two ago, Rob told me we need to make it again--and be "we" he means me. :)
