When we left the hospital with Paige her bilirubin was slightly higher than they would've liked it. So we had to take her back to have lab work done every morning to keep an eye on it. About five days after we brought her home, they decided they better put her under the lights to help the bilirubin break down. So even though we wanted to just snuggle her, she had to be in her light bed anytime that we weren't feeding her, and even then she had to have the light pad on. It was kind of crazy, but it was nice to have some time to play with the big sister and help her adjust. :)
| Paige's poor little feet had been pricked so many times. Both feet looked like this. |
| In her light bed. We joked that it made her look like a little alien baby. :) |
