Eric's department and the University of Utah doesn't have Friday classes. So even though he still had to work on his birthday, he didn't have school. So we were able to sleep in and take it pretty easy. I was in the middle of dealing with morning/all-day sickness, so I just picked up some donuts for his birthday breakfast and called it good. Both he and Hallie were thrilled. He also got a netbook for his birthday so that he could more easily do homework on the buses, trains, on campus, etc. It has turned out to be a great thing for him to have, and luckily we got it for a great deal!
For lunch we went to Eric's favorite Mexican Restaurant around here. Joe Vera's.
Eric was offered BYU Football tickets again that day, and we were all able to go together and enjoy a great game against Utah State.

We also won, which is always nice! Even better to see Riley Nelson do so well!
