One Saturday morning, before the
BYU v. Utah football game, we decided to take a drive up to Silver Lake, and see what we could find. Grandma and Grandpa had seen moose the last few times they had been up there, so we were really hoping to find a moose!
Hallie had had enough sitting in the car, and was a little bit tired so she wasn't too happy to be taking pictures.
Off we go!

Only to have to turn around about 3 minutes later for a potty break. :)

We saw lots of ducks, and were wishing we had brought bread to feed them.

After Hallie woke up a little bit and got going, she had a lot of fun running up the trail and the boardwalks.

She actually got pretty silly. I kept trying to get a good picture of her, but all we got were silly faces. :)

As we were taking this picture we realized that there was a blue jay (of some sort, Mr. Green would be so disappointed I didn't know which kind) flying around behind her.
It just kept flying from tree to tree, back and forth, up and down branches. We were the only ones in that area at the time. So it was neat to sit quietly for a while and just watch it.

After a couple hours or so, it was time to head back to beat game traffic. (Too bad the game wasn't worth watching. We
should've just stayed up there.)
Even though we didn't find a moose, it was a great excuse to go be outside and do something fun, adn it was a great day.

Since going to Silver Lake, six months ago now, Hallie has said multiple times we need to go back with Grandma because she knows where the
mooses' are. If it were only that simple. :)
