To be able to get all of the stuff done for one of my craft shows I ended up being up until around 2 or 3 am, then realizing that The Royal Wedding was going to start shortly I just decided to stay up and watch it. Around 4 Hallie woke up after having a bad dream, so she stayed up and watched it with me. It was a fun little girl party, after which we both went back to sleep. Which was pretty fabulous.
We also had a good little, 2 1/2 year old, conversation about marriage and that even though she probably wouldn't marry a real prince, she will always be a princess, and that she can have something that Prince William and Princess Catherine don't have, by being married in the temple. That she can hear the words "for time and all eternity" instead of hearing "til death do you part." I know that it may have been a bit much for her little mind, but I was really surprised how well she grasped the concepts and have talked about it since. It was really neat.Even though I typically wouldn't have been thrill about Hallie waking up at that hour, it was a really neat experience and a special time we had together.
